Tadasana (Mountain Pose)

                                              Tadasana

  What is Tadasana.?

Tadasana, also known as Mountain Pose, is a foundational yoga pose that focuses on standing with a sense of stability, balance, and alignment. It serves as the starting position for many other yoga postures. In Tadasana, the body is held straight with the feet together or hip-width apart, and the arms can be extended overhead or brought together across the chest in a prayer position.

How to Do Tadasana.?

Stand straight:- Start by standing with your feet together, weight evenly distributed on both feet. Engage your thigh muscles and lift your knees up without locking your knees.

Align your spine:- Lengthen your spine by reaching the top of your head toward the sky. Relax your shoulders, allowing them to move away from your ears.

Distribute weight:- Shift your weight slightly onto your toes. Feel the connection with the ground through your feet, making sure they are parallel.

Activate your core:- Gently draw in your lower abdominals, engaging your core muscles. This helps stabilize your lower back.

Palms together:- Bring your palms together in front of your chest in prayer position, or let your arms hang at your sides with your palms facing forward.

Pause and breathe:- Hold this pose for 30 seconds to a minute, breathing deeply and maintaining a steady gaze. Feel the flow of strength and stability in your body.

Benefits of Tadasana:

Better Posture:- Tadasana encourages proper alignment of the spine, promoting good posture and reducing stress on the back.

Better Balance:- This pose enhances your sense of balance, helping you develop stability in both body and mind.

Stress reduction:- Focusing on breathing and maintaining posture can calm the mind, reducing stress and anxiety.

Increased awareness:-Tadasana draws attention to the present moment, promoting mindfulness and connection with your body.

Energizes the body:- Despite its calmness, Tadasana activates various muscles, promotes blood circulation and revitalizes the body.
